Frequently asked questions.

Do I need to be experienced?

No experience required! Whether you’re a total newbie or a seasoned pro, we’ve got you covered. Our friendly guides will tailor the ride to your skill level, ensuring you have a blast while exploring the breathtaking trails of the greater Zion area. If you want to be a stride ahead, trot on over to our Tutorial page for a short video on the horsemanship basics.

What should I wear?

Jeans, closed-toed shoes (cowboy boots if you have them!) and a hat are the holy trinity of trail ride fashion! When you hop on a trusty steed, denim is your best buddy, keeping you comfy and stylish while you wrangle some adventure. Closed-toed shoes are a must to protect those precious toes from unexpected bumps and scrapes. And let’s not forget the hat—whether it’s a wide-brimmed cowboy hat or a trusty baseball cap, it keeps the sun off your face and gives you that rugged look.

Do I need to bring anything?

Bring your adventurous spirit, sunscreen, and any snacks you prefer! We’ll provide water and other essentials, so pack light and bring what makes you happy. Whether it's a trail mix that fuels your wanderlust or cookies that satisfy your sweet tooth, your favorite snacks will make the journey even more delightful. Let’s saddle up and hit the trail!

Can I bring my own horse?

Absolutely! We offer BYOH (Bring Your Own Horse) options where we can serve as your expert local guides to the area. If you choose to bring your own horse or want us to guide a group of your riding pals, please reach out for pricing and options. We’ll help you saddle up for an adventure that’s as unique as your trusty steed! Whether it’s a leisurely ride through scenic trails, and steep trek up Pine Valley, or a gallop into the sunset, we’re here to make it happen. Just give us a holler, and let the horse-tastic times roll!

Do I need to bring cash?

Having a little physical cash is never a bad idea! We often have items that interest our customers such as genuine used lassos and branded merchandise. Our cowboys never expect tips, but if your wrangler provided you with a great experience, gratuities are gladly appreciated. We also have a Venmo available, please reach out to your guide for that information.

Is there an age limit?

Yes. We ask that all cowkids be at least 8 year of age, and mature enough to respect the guides, environment, and animals they are riding.
